Minister Al-Rumaihi said that Bahrain's experience in empowering women in various fields and holding many positions at all levels has become a role model, as Bahraini women have passed the empowerment stage and become partners in the overall development process.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning noted that the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to provide housing services to ensure the stability of the Bahraini family and to ensure women's entitlement to services, through the categories through which women benefit as members of the family that meet the eligibility criteria, or the categories of divorced women and widows in foster care.
Her Excellency stated that over 5,685 women beneficiaries of housing services during the period from 2011 to the current year. The Ministry also exempts a widow who is foster to minors from all sums that occupy the deceased beneficiary of housing service.
The Minister continued that women benefit from various housing services (property services, housing finance, housing allowance from the date of acceptance of the application). The fifth category also includes women orphans, single and abandoned parents, divorced Bahraini women or widows with non-Bahraini children, and expanding standards on age, income and rental value, who can benefit from housing services.
Al-Rumaihi explained that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning is proud of the role and efforts of the Ministry's associates in achieving housing achievements during the past phase. and their role in the implementation of current and future housing projects, initiatives and programmes, where the proportion of leadership positions is about 60% and supervisory positions is about 67% In addition, 58 per cent of the Ministry's employees are women, praising the competence of the Ministry's workers and their experience and professionalism, which contributed to the development of housing services.
