Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the Ministry is keen to further develop its housing services to citizens. As one of the vital priority sectors in the overall development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the country, The continued follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Minister Al-Rumaihi said that, as part of the Ministry's efforts to implement the directives of His Royal Highness, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers. With the development of 500 services in 24 government entities, the Ministry has been able to develop 28 housing services by developing the procedures for each service by reducing the number of transactions and procedures, Or the transition to electronic services, in coordination with the Ministerial Committee on Information and Communications Technology chaired by Lieutenant General H.E. Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior.

The Minister reported that the upgraded housing services included 16 services developed in the housing services sector in addition to 3 services developed in the engineering sector, and 9 services provided by the Housing Bank to reviewers In this regard, it noted that the development of these services contributed to the reduction of the documents required to complete housing services in general by 50%, especially with the achievement of the electronic transformation of housing services by 100%.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning noted that the Ministry has worked to develop its website and customer experience in all digital services, and to trim documents for services within the service level agreement. The first of these is the service to provide facilitation financing, maintenance service, as well as disposal services and completion of ownership procedures.

Minister Al-Rumaihi noted that the service of applying for utilization of housing finance "Facilitation" included reducing the number of steps to take advantage of the service to only 4, reducing the number of required documents from 16 to 7 documents, and developing the right of disposal service after electronic conversion saw dispensing with paper transactions in a large proportion. Previously, 13 documents were required, which were reduced to only 4 documents at present.

The Ministry also launched the maintenance service via its website, which enables the beneficiaries of the ownership services to benefit from maintenance services throughout the warranty period. This service contributed to reducing the service level agreement from 10 working days to 5 days and providing it in electronic form by 100% after it was fully paper.

Minister Amna al-Rumaihi stated that the Ministry has launched a query service on the real estate located in the Muharraq City Development Project within the development plan of the city of Muharraq, a new service previously unavailable. The Ministry allocates an official page for the project to develop the city of Muharraq on its website.

The Minister stated that the development aspects also included the implementation of e-connectivity with 10 government entities within an integrated electronic system in an effort to streamline the delivery of housing services of all kinds through the website and internal regulations. Paper transactions were completely phased out.

Minister Al-Rumaihi emphasized the continuation of the Government's efforts to implement the digital transformation plans, in line with the objectives of the Government's Programme (2023-2026) on supporting Government services and transactions digitization projects and making them fully electronic.
