During the meeting, Minister Amna Al-Rumaihi noted the depth of the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, appreciating the efforts of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program and the pioneering plans and initiatives pursued by the program to meet the citizens' need to provide adequate housing by providing grants and housing loans for construction, completion or Carrying out the necessary maintenance and additions to the housing or government housing within the projects of integrated residential neighborhoods with facilities.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Rumaihi reviewed the programs of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to provide social housing services to citizens in the Kingdom, which are being implemented within the framework of the royal directive regarding the continuation of development plans for the housing sector with its innovative solutions and huge investments, in partnership with the private sector, to secure decent and appropriate housing for citizens, and what was stated in the The government program 2023-2026 regarding the provision of decent, appropriate and distinguished housing services for citizens.
The minister indicated that the new housing finance program contributes to providing immediate housing services to citizens, through the “Facilitation” and “Mazaya” services, by providing financing for various purposes, noting that this program has contributed to the provision of housing services to a large number of citizens since its launch last August. The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning affirmed the Ministry's keenness to cooperate with the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program through the exchange of expertise and experiences, which enriches plans for providing housing services to citizens in both brotherly countries.
For his part, Eng. Mohammed Al Mansouri, Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, appreciated the Kingdom's efforts in providing housing services to citizens in partnership with the private sector, stressing keenness to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries to exchange expertise and experiences, in a way that contributes to the development of housing services provided to citizens.
