Engineer Basem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, Minister of Housing, praised the efforts of the real estate development institutions cooperating with the ministry through the Mazaya program, which work within the framework of the ministry’s goals and visions by providing housing solutions to citizens that ensure immediate access to the housing service, and allow the citizen great flexibility to choose his appropriate housing that meets his needs In terms of geographical location, space and internal components of the housing unit.
The Minister of Housing noted that the program has witnessed, since its inception, the provision of 84 projects by real estate development companies in various governorates of the Kingdom, which has contributed to providing adequate and immediate housing for more than 8000 Bahraini families, in a clear translation of the success of the partnership axis with the private sector, which was approved by the previous and current government program .
The minister said that the provision of innovative and immediate housing solutions comes at the forefront of the ministry's plans during the current stage, in implementation of the visions and directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, regarding formulating innovative solutions for housing and infrastructure in partnership with the private sector to accelerate the pace of achievement. The Ministry seeks to continuously search for innovative housing initiatives that contribute to the rapid access of citizens to adequate housing.
The Minister of Housing stressed that the ministry is conducting continuous monitoring of all stages of the procedural cycle to benefit from the Mazaya program, with the aim of finding opportunities for improvement and development, and in a manner that ensures the speed of procedures and immediate access to adequate housing, noting that the Mazaya program confirms the success of the government’s vision in providing immediate services to citizens through Partnership with the private sector.
The minister pointed out that the Mazaya Program and what it achieved in the recent period of wide demand from the beneficiaries, as well as its economic impact that supports the development wheel in the Kingdom through the existing and fruitful partnership with the private sector, whose economic activity exceeded 880 million dinars, stressing that the number of beneficiaries of the program Mazaya", since its launch, has reached about 8000 beneficiaries.
Al-Hamar also stated that the land rights development program in cooperation with the sector, specifically with real estate development institutions, is one of the government’s most prominent priorities, especially as it is one of the innovative solutions to provide social housing. Cooperation between the government and private sectors to provide social housing projects for citizens, especially as it will enhance the vision of providing immediate services to citizens by providing a large base of supply of housing units at an appropriate cost, and making it possible to purchase them through the financing services provided by the Ministry, to represent an additional option among the various options. provided by the Ministry to the citizens.
Al-Hamr explained that the ministry aims, through this program, if its trial version is successful, to build thousands of housing units on government lands, which will provide a large number of housing units at competitive prices suitable for the beneficiaries of the housing finance service.
