The Ministry of Housing - in its response to what is being raised about the existence of a new initiative represented in granting the beneficiaries housing Land Plot instead of units - that this service is not a new initiative, but rather a pre-approved and continuous service in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. (909) of 2015 regarding the housing system.
The Ministry is working to communicate with those with old requests in order to give them the option to obtain housing Land Plot like other housing services provided by the Ministry, in case they wish, or to continue to apply for a housing unit, given the level of income and their ability to build residential Land Plot, which is An ongoing routine procedure and an option that is placed on old waiting lists so that they are never forced into.
The Ministry of Housing would like to point out that all housing requests will continue without being forced to replace the beneficiaries’ options, as this procedure is done after updating the data for the waiting lists and thus making sure of the beneficiary’s financial ability to build the housing voucher that will be granted to him, an option that has been proposed for years to allow the beneficiary to transfer between Housing services at any time, counting the waiting years and granting housing allowance.
The ministry points out that the provision of immediate housing solutions is at the forefront of its plans during the current stage, in implementation of the visions and directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to speed up the pace of completion and reduce waiting lists, particularly from old applicants.
The Ministry of Housing also confirms that the beneficiaries who were contacted return for their housing requests for the years 2002 and 2001, where the Ministry wants to give them housing solutions that are faster and commensurate with their social and economic conditions in the event that they wish to transfer or continue their housing request (a housing unit) so that they can benefit from this service By those who meet the conditions and standards.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Housing provides, within its housing services, the service of housing Land Plot, which allows citizens to benefit from a plot of land to build their housing unit. This service is free of charge and has its own requirements, which stipulate that the monthly income of the beneficiary when submitting the application and upon allocation is not less than (800) Bahraini dinars It does not exceed (1,500) Bahraini dinars in addition to other obligations related to the initiation and completion of building the voucher.
