His Excellency Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamr, Minister of Housing, confirmed the size of the great achievement in East Hidd City, which amounted to 88%, indicating that the number of ready-made units that were distributed to the beneficiaries amounted to 1770 housing units in each of: Bu Shaheen neighborhood, Qulaia district, Umm neighborhood Al-Swali, Al-Ezel neighborhood, in addition to the presence of 1008 housing units within the final stages of delivery and distribution to the beneficiaries, as this achievement comes within the plan to provide 25 thousand new housing units that were approved in the government's 2019-2022 work program.
The Minister of Housing expressed his pride in the royal sponsorship of the housing file in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing that the completion of 5 new cities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including East Hidd City, would not have been achieved without the attention and support of the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister to meet all challenges.
The Minister of Housing referred to allocating housing plots within the East Hidd City project, which numbered 496, which were distributed to the beneficiaries, bringing the construction and utilization rate of these plots to about 50%, as the construction process was actually started by citizens in the “Umm Al Shajar” neighborhood.
