Basem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamr, Minister of Housing, revealed the volume of housing transactions through the ministry’s electronic platform during the first quarter of 2021, which amounted to 69,312 thousand visitors to conduct electronic transactions, in an effort by the ministry to facilitate the citizens ’completion of their transactions and to obtain housing services in a quick and appropriate way for all. And in line with the future visions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to develop the system of comprehensive government work.
The Minister of Housing noted his keenness to make optimal investment in the technical and electronic systems in the field of sustainable development that the government program is keen on, in order to ensure the normal functioning of the ministry, in line with the preventive measures and procedures recommended by the national team to combat the "Corona" pandemic in various services and activities. And the reviews related to the work of the ministry, as the ministry is currently keen to provide all housing services through the website, and it will soon be available via mobile phone applications and mobile devices without the need for the actual presence of the ministry.
The numbers monitored by the Ministry indicate that the number of new users during the first quarter of the year 2021 reached 59,851 users, through accessing more than 367,673 electronic pages that include a package of services and facilities for reviewers with current and new housing requests.
The Minister of Housing affirmed the ministry's full readiness in dealing with all options, and within the various circumstances imposed by the pandemic on us, based on its strategy aimed at sustaining and accelerating the pace of adequate housing for deserving citizens by transforming challenges into current and future gains added to the Ministry's achievements.
The Minister of Housing indicated that the electronic housing database is linked to various agencies to integrate with the databases of many ministries and government institutions, which provides continuous updated and accurate data, and therefore housing applicants do not need the actual presence of the ministry, which contributes to reducing the number of auditors to 75% and thus increase productivity And the time allotted to complete the completion and audit of housing transactions faster.
