Bassem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamr, Minister of Housing, delegated His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Hammoud Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry, to head the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the meeting of the Council of Arab Housing and Construction Ministers. Housing, especially the joint coordination endeavors to implement the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, praising the outputs of the annual meetings of the Council of Arab Housing and Construction Ministers, which contributed to creating a common agenda aimed at developing the strategic policies and plans of the member states.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain, thanks to the wise visions of the wise leadership, meets the Council’s objectives with systematic plans, as it works to implement the Royal Decree by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, regarding the provision of 40,000 housing units for Bahraini citizens. The agent said that the Kingdom of Bahrain's keenness to obtain a seat on the Executive Council of UN-Habitat comes within the framework of the Kingdom of Bahrain's successful experience in implementing the sustainable development goals, pointing out that the Kingdom has taken many initiatives in this direction, foremost among which is the establishment of the Information Committee of the Council of Ministers, which is It oversees the performance of ministries and government agencies in implementing sustainable goals, and as a result of this, the Kingdom received many international and international organizations' praises regarding the speedy pace of implementing these goals, stressing that the membership of the Executive Office will contribute to strengthening the Bahraini and Arab presence in international forums.
The Housing Undersecretary explained the Kingdom of Bahrain's efforts in hosting the joint website of the Council of Arab Housing and Construction Ministers, indicating that Bahrain held a training course on the best ways to enter the data of member states on the joint website in a smooth process, through which the website collects the data of all housing countries according to classifications and organized frameworks. It contributes to the development of various housing files, and facilitates the process of exchanging information through the database and the information contained in the site
The joint Arab efforts in implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and the implementation steps of the Arab Strategy for Housing and Urban Development were reviewed, as well as cooperation with relevant Arab, regional and international organizations to achieve the common Arab goals. The preparations for the Arab Housing Day celebrations were also discussed, as well as the developments of the approval of the award. The Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction, in addition to reviewing the experiences of countries and their legislation in the field of developing social housing policies.
