Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamr, Minister of Housing, announced the opening of the main entrance to the East Hidd City project, which connects the entrance to the city to the Dry Basin Street with the main streets and roads of the city with a length of 3 km, and this entrance contributes to organizing the entry and exit of the city's residents in a smooth and orderly manner.

The Minister of Housing said that the opening of the main entrance, which was implemented with funding from the Gulf Development Program, coincides with the increase in the number of citizens living in the city's neighborhoods, especially after the increase in the rates of ready-made units in the city's neighborhoods, and their distribution in implementation of the orders of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Crown Prince The prime minister's pledge to distribute housing units to citizens, noting that the ministry provided two temporary entrances during the last phase, which coincided with the beginning of the operation and housing of the first stages of the city.

Engineer Al-Hamar said that the implementation of the main entrance to East Hidd was in line with the new specifications of the main and secondary road networks approved by the esteemed government in all projects of the new Bahrain cities, in terms of the number of lanes and their bearing of traffic density for cars, noting that the main and secondary roads network in the city is about a length of about 12 kilometers.

The Minister of Housing appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to develop the main intersection leading to the entrance to East Hidd City, in a way that would facilitate the citizens to use the intersection smoothly, indicating that this cooperation embodies the complementary relationship between the two ministries to achieve common goals in the government program.

The minister said that the East Hidd City project is one of the main tributaries of the Ministry of Housing program of the High Royal Order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the beloved King of the country, may God protect him, by building 40,000 housing units, stressing that the great progress has been achieved in implementing this The project so far reflects the extent of attention and follow-up that His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister has attached to the projects of the new Bahrain cities, with the aim of realizing the visions and aspirations of His Majesty the King of the country, may God protect him, to accelerate the fulfillment of housing requests.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Housing is preparing gardens for children, open spaces, and afforestation works, as well as pedestrian and bicycle paths that extend along the coastal strip surrounding the city, explaining that the completion of the main entrance to the city is one of the last stages of the completion of the implementation stages of the city’s master plan.
