Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, Minister of Housing, visited the districts of Al-Dayr and Samaheej, in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Honorable Prime Minister, to visit the two areas, to see the housing needs in the region and meet with the people to hear directly from them about their requirements in this regard, in the presence of The representative of the district is Deputy Dr. Hisham Al-Asheri, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, Dr. Khaled Al-Haidan, Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Policies and Services, and Municipal Member Fadel Al-Oud and a number of Ministry of Housing officials, notables and notables of the region.
Engineer Bassem Al-Hamar, Minister of Housing, confirmed during the visit that the assignment of His Highness the Prime Minister, may God protect him, to inspect the housing needs of the villages of Al-Deir and Samaheej comes within the framework of the directives and his constant keenness to touch the housing needs of citizens, as they represent a basic pillar to ensure the stability of living and the provision of decent livelihoods for citizens.
He added that the esteemed government's approach to managing the social housing file is based on translating the needs of citizens into work programs that contribute to the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom, adding that visiting the villages of Al-Dayr and Al-Samaheej represents an opportunity to closely meet citizens and study opportunities to provide housing projects, or appropriate plans to meet the people's requests The area through the projects that the Ministry of Housing is currently implementing in the new cities of Bahrain.
Engineer Al-Hamr noted that the housing needs of the people will be included in a work program through the various departments in the ministry, and in coordination with the relevant ministries and service authorities, provided that a comprehensive report is submitted to the distinguished cabinet in this regard based on the directions of His Highness, may God protect him.
Al-Hamr said that the Ministry was honored earlier in implementing the directives of the wise leadership regarding providing a housing project for the monastery and Samaheej 365 housing units and 148 plots, and its implementation has already been completed in 3 phases, the first included 88 housing units, the second 117 units and 91 plots, while the third phase included 161 units. And 57 housing plots, and all units and plots were allocated to this project, stressing that the ministry will seek to continue serving the people according to the plans available to the ministry.
This was followed by the Minister of Housing and the Ministry’s delegation discussing with the citizens the housing needs of the people, and the possibility of establishing a housing project for the area and the opportunities to exploit the vacant lands in the region to meet some requests, as well as discussing ways to meet the housing demands of the people of the region in housing projects according to the seniority criterion.
