In implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, Eng. Basem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, the Minister of Housing, made an inspection visit to Al-Salihiya Village with the presence of His Excellency Deputy Sawsan Kamal, Member of Parliament, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Policies and Housing Services Dr. Khaled Al-Haidan, and Director of Services Department Housing Engineer Sami Qambar, and the head of the Village Extensions Department at the Ministry, Engineer Reda Al-Adraj, in order to inspect the housing needs of the villagers, and discuss the opportunities available to provide a housing project that will benefit the residents of Salhiya.

On his meeting with the villagers, the engineer, Basem Al-Hamr, affirmed that the appointment of His Highness the Prime Minister, may God preserve him and his patrons, to visit the Salihiya village reflects the extent of his highness's keenness to seek the needs of citizens, especially housing, as it provides an element of stability and decent livelihood for citizens.

The minister added that the esteemed government’s approach to managing the social housing file depends on seeking the needs of citizens and translating them into action programs that contribute to supporting the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom, adding that visiting the Salihiya region is a favorable opportunity to see the housing needs of the village, both in terms of discussing opportunities to provide projects Housing, or studying appropriate plans to meet the demands of the people of the region through the projects that the Ministry of Housing is currently implementing in the new cities of Bahrain.

Eng. Al-Hamar noted that all housing needs of the people will be included in a work program through the various departments in the ministry, in coordination with the relevant ministries and service agencies, provided that a comprehensive report is submitted to the distinguished cabinet in this regard based on the directives of His Highness, may God protect him.

He stressed that the Ministry attaches all citizens' requests in the various governorates of the Kingdom the importance of housing plans and programs, as the ministry seeks to accelerate the pace of citizen access to his housing service, whether through projects implemented by the ministry in new cities, or partnership initiatives with the private sector that provide funding for Adequate housing as a privileged program should be mentioned, noting that the Ministry is still considering introducing more housing initiatives that provide the citizen with a diversity of housing solutions.
It was agreed during the visit to hold a meeting with the people of the village during the coming period at the Ministry’s headquarters to follow up their housing needs and requests.

For its part, His Excellency Deputy Sawsan Kamal, member of the House of Representatives, confirmed that His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, may God protect him and his patrons, is always keen to see the needs of citizens in the various governorates of the Kingdom, and that providing housing for citizens comes in the forefront of His Highness’s priorities, may God protect him, raising the highest verses Thanks and gratitude to His Highness for his directives to His Excellency the Minister of Housing to visit the village and learn about its housing needs.
For his part, representatives of the people of Al-Salihiya expressed their deep gratitude to His Highness the Prime Minister for his direct guidance in seeking the housing needs of the village, which had a great impact on the souls of the people of the region.
