Engineer Basem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, the Minister of Housing, held an extended working meeting this morning with the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee regarding the fairness of the distribution criteria for housing requests and the cost of building housing units and taking into account the technical conditions in designing housing units in the House of Representatives headed by His Excellency Representative Zainab Abdel Amir at the headquarters of the Ministry of Housing in the diplomatic area, in The framework of continuous coordination between the Ministry and the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee to fulfill the main axes of the Commission's axes.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Housing welcomed the Chairman and members of the Committee, praising the level of cooperation between the Ministry and the Parliament in general and the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee in particular, which contributes to the consolidation of aspects of cooperation between the legislative and executive branches, in the interests of the citizen, once again confirming the Ministry's keenness to provide all Aspects of cooperation with the committee to contribute to the success of its work.
The meeting witnessed exchanging views and answering the questions posed by the deputies regarding the axes and topics of the work of the committee, and the Minister of Housing reviewed the mechanism of the ministry’s work in dealing with citizens ’requests at various stages of the application cycle, dealing with technical standards for preparing distribution lists in ready projects, which are determined by housing regulations.
During the meeting, a review of the plans and programs adopted by the Ministry of Housing to resolve housing requests, whether in projects for new cities in Bahrain or partnership programs with the private sector as a program Mazaya, and future visions to meet the requests.
