The Ministry of Housing indicated that it is continuing the procedures for handing over the units of the Ramli housing project, which it began distributing its contracts during the month of May, and that it has already managed to deliver a large number of units in the project after the completion of supplying the units with electricity, while the Ministry is in coordination with the Electricity and Water Authority to expedite On completion of supplying the rest of the project units so that they can be delivered to the beneficiaries.
The ministry indicated that it had already ended before proceeding with the delivery of unit contracts from implementing its obligations related to the implementation of the internal electricity network for the entire project and indeed the Electricity and Water Authority connected the electrical current to the largest part of the units, which contributed to the speed of citizens receiving their housing units, while part of the units remain The project did not connect the electrical current to it, which is the matter that the Ministry of Housing makes every effort to follow up and coordinate with the authority to connect the current so that it can deliver these units to the beneficiaries.
The Ministry assured the citizens who benefit from these units by indicating that they will continue to provide housing allowance support for them, and the 6-month deadline granted by the Ministry to the citizen will be calculated before stopping the payment of the allowance to him, to start from the date of receiving the keys to the housing unit.
The ministry added that it always seeks to consider the interest of citizens and work to the fullest capacity for the speedy handing over of units to beneficiaries, from the period of project implementation to the completion of allocation and delivery procedures, negating what has been raised in some social media accounts of the delay by the ministry in this regard, This is evidenced by the handing over of the bulk of the project immediately after the completion of contract delivery procedures and opening of bank accounts to beneficiaries.
The Ministry also indicated that it was keen to continue the procedures for handing over units to citizens throughout the blessed month of Ramadan, which had been halted due to the current health conditions related to fighting the emerging Corona Virus as a benefit 19, by applying precautionary measures and receiving citizens in batches in order to avoid delaying the handover of units, and that those The procedures went very smoothly and the largest segment was actually able to receive their units.
It is worth noting the ministry that the Ramli suburb housing is the fourth of the new Bahraini cities projects that the ministry is operating after the cities of Salman, Khalifa, and east of the border, and this project is an essential pillar in the implementation of the high order to build 40 thousand housing units and from which the government’s programs derive from the housing sector.
