The Minister of Housing, Bassem Bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, confirmed that the Ministry was keen to include all the plans of the new Bahrain cities with all the facilities and services, and attention to environmental and cosmetic aspects, in implementation of the directives of the rational leadership and the esteemed government regarding raising the quality of housing and life for citizens, and in line with the Kingdom's efforts to implement the eleventh international goal of The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, which states "to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable."
Eng. Al-Hamar said that Khalifa City is one of the living models that witnessed great interest in terms of providing health and educational facilities and services, places of worship, gardens and open spaces, where work is being carried out in coordination with the ministries and the concerned authorities according to the general plan of the city, after operating the first stages of civil And start housing citizens with it.
The minister said that the city was planned in the form of residential neighborhoods linked to a network of main and branch roads according to the latest specifications to accommodate traffic, in addition to allocating special paths for pedestrians and bicycle users, in addition to an integrated transportation network, and the neighborhoods were designed to be close to the main service centers that Provides basic daily services to the city's residents, and the city center is designed as a commercial and recreational area for Bahraini families.

He added that the Ministry paid special attention to providing green spaces, open areas, parks, children's play areas and sports stadiums, in a way that contributes to strengthening the social fabric of the city's residents, as well as environmental aspects through the use of environmentally friendly building and construction materials, afforestation of main streets and residential neighborhoods, as well as providing paths Especially for hiking and biking, which contributes to the promotion of a culture of exercise, and thus improving the health of citizens.
