The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning held a joint workshop in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and Water Affairs under the title “Optimal Use of Energy,” targeting Ministry of Housing employees. The workshop comes within the Ministry’s objectives to raise awareness about the optimal use of energy.
The workshop included an overview of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency, and the mechanisms for implementing national plans that fall within the framework of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s international commitments regarding climate change issues, and in a way that contributes to achieving the goal of reaching zero neutrality.
The workshop reviewed the most prominent projects and initiatives that the Ministry of Electricity and Water Affairs is implementing. It also touched on the method of submitting a request to install solar energy systems through the systems followed by the Ministry of Electricity and Water Affairs, and discussed methods of reducing repetitive consumption. The workshop received interest and interaction from employees of the Ministry of Housing and Planning. Urban.
It is worth noting that this workshop comes within a joint action plan between the two ministries to raise the level of awareness in the field of energy and the importance of benefiting from renewable energy. It was presented by Mr. Hussein Baqir, an energy engineering and efficiency specialist, and Mr. Mubarak Al-Ahmad, a renewable energy engineer.
