Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, participated in the opening of the second edition of the Cityscape Riyadh Conference and Exhibition, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 11 to 14 November under the slogan "The Future of Life", sponsored by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing in partnership with the Saudi Authority.
Minister Amna al-Rumaihi stated on the margins of the opening that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning is keen to participate in such important land and housing benefits, in order to promote joint cooperation and exchange successful housing experiences, projects and initiatives, reflecting the promotion and enrichment of housing plans and policies.
The Minister noted that the common denominator of GCC States' participation in such important exhibitions and conferences housing policies and plans based on the involvement of the private sector in the provision of housing services to citizens, The Kingdom of Bahrain, through its participation in the Cityscape Riyadh Expo, is keen to review opportunities to participate in the implementation of projects listed in the Government's Land Development Rights Programme, which the Ministry is expanding in its provision in the Kingdom's governorates.
The Minister stressed that partnership initiatives with the private sector were the way to sustain the long-term provision of housing services to citizens and reduce the time limits for the use of housing services, given the private sector's expertise, potential and resources to do so in the Government's involvement in its efforts to provide social housing services to citizens.
Minister Al-Rumaihi congratulated His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hayel, Minister of Municipalities and Housing, and the Saudi General Authority for the Kingdom's success in hosting this global event, and the considerable momentum of the exhibition and conference in terms of the projects offered, the working papers and the experiences discussed at the conference sessions.
