Within the framework of the royal directives to provide 40,000 housing units, and in implementation of the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to distribute 2,000 housing units to citizens, the Ministry of Housing began today, Thursday, distributing housing units to beneficiaries of urban projects. Khalifa, East Al Hadd, and East Sitra, coinciding with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebrations of its national holidays, commemorating the establishment of the modern Bahraini state during the era of the founder Ahmed Al-Fateh as an Arab Muslim state in 1783 AD, and the anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the reins of government.
His Excellency Engineer Basem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, Minister of Housing, when initiating the distribution procedures, expressed his happiness with the start of the procedures for distributing housing units to citizens, noting that the ministry embarked upon the issuance of the order of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, to distribute 2,000 housing units to the lists of beneficiaries. And the preparation of procedures for the distribution of housing projects, noting that the distribution schedule will extend until the end of this month, and the first phase of it will witness the distribution of housing units in the cities of Khalifa and East Sitra, in addition to handing over the keys to the units of East Hidd City.
The Minister of Housing said that the royal patronage of the social housing sector and the unlimited support by the government formed a great incentive to implement the plans of housing projects, new Bahrain cities or residential complex projects, in addition to partnership programs with the private sector, pointing out that all these projects and programs are compatible. With the housing commitments contained in the government program.
The minister added that the government's consistent approach to providing adequate housing and supporting plans for development and housing projects within the economic recovery plan is an incentive for all of us in the ministry to work towards achieving achievements despite all the challenges we face.
