Senior officials, delegations, speakers and experts participating in the second edition of the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition 2026 have arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain to take part in the conference, which is being held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as part of the fourth Gulf Housing Week hosted by the Kingdom.
The conference will witness broad participation by senior officials, decision-makers, experts and specialists in the housing and real estate development sectors, alongside representatives of government entities, the private sector, banking and financial institutions, and real estate companies. This reflects the conference’s importance as a platform bringing together key stakeholders across the social housing ecosystem to explore opportunities for development and innovation and to exchange expertise and experiences.
Bahrain’s hosting of the conference coincides with the fourth Gulf Housing Week and comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council in 2026. This provides further opportunities to exchange experiences and expertise and to showcase innovative initiatives and solutions in housing, financing, real estate development and public-private partnerships.
The conference programme includes a series of dialogue and discussion sessions featuring a distinguished group of officials, experts and leaders from relevant sectors. The sessions will address major transformations in the social housing sector, the evolving roles of governments and the private sector, innovative financing solutions, the deployment of modern technologies, and the strengthening of strategic partnerships to develop a more sustainable and flexible housing ecosystem.
The accompanying exhibition will also serve as a platform to showcase the latest housing, real estate and financing projects, options and services, with the participation of a number of banking institutions, real estate companies and specialised entities. It will provide an opportunity to explore the latest experiences, practices and solutions available in the sector.
The conference is set to witness broad Gulf and international participation, contributing to enhanced knowledge and expertise exchange, the development of effective public-private partnerships, and support for efforts to advance innovative and sustainable social housing models.
