Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, held a bilateral working meeting with His Excellency Dr.Khalfan Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), and Mr. Khalid Abdul Rahman.Al Majed, CEO of Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company "Edamah", on Saturday morning.
During the meeting, Minister Al Rumaihi stressed the depth of the relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, and the cooperation and coordination witnessed in bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields in light of the support and care they enjoy from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Great King of the country, and his brother, His Majesty.Sultan Haitham bin Tariq the Great, may God protect and protect them.
Minister Al Rumaihi noted the fruitful cooperation in the social housing sector, in addition to investment opportunities in housing projects and programs and how to benefit from the expertise of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this field.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning expressed her appreciation for the Omani experience in the field of providing suitable housing for its citizens, which is consistent with the Bahraini experience in many outputs, projects and partnerships with the private sector, praising the modern housing projects in the Sultanate, the most prominent of which is Sultan Haitham City, which represents the culmination of the comprehensive transformation journey pursued by the Ministry of Housing.And urban planning in the Sultanate of Oman towards sustainable urban development in line with "Oman Vision 2040".
For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Mumtalakat Bahrain Holding Company, reviewed the visions and plans of Mumtalakat Bahrain Company and the projects that Edamah, the real estate arm of Mumtalakat Company, is working to implement, in addition to reviewing investment opportunities in a number of projects implemented by the company in various sectors.This comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts to expand development projects in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy.
The CEO said that Mumtalakat Company plays a pivotal role in promoting economic growth in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in implementation of the principles and objectives of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. The company also aims to diversify the economic base in the Kingdom within the framework of this vision.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue joint cooperation and coordination, and to exchange experiences on housing affairs and cooperation projects with the private sector, in order to open more promising investment horizons.
