Engineer Mohamed Rashdan, Director of the Housing Projects Construction and Maintenance Department at the Ministry of Housing, affirmed the ministry's keenness on the health and safety of workers in all housing projects, explaining that 4 million working hours were achieved without injuries in the past days.
This came during the health campaign held by the Ministry of Housing in the East Sitra city project, in coordination with the Chinese developer, China Machinery Engineering Company, and in cooperation with Al Hilal Hospital, over a period of two days, in order to conduct periodic check-ups for about 2,800 workers.
Engineer Muhammad Rashdan revealed the participation of about 14 health practitioners, including doctors and nurses, in the campaign, who ensured the application of health and safety standards for the workforce, thermal examination, and providing a safe distance to reduce mixing, in line with the national plan to address the emerging corona virus "Covid 19".
"Rashdan" added that these efforts come within the framework of the ministry's keenness to ensure the safety of all workers and people residing in these projects, and to direct the proper methods of work to preserve the safety of workers and spare them from accidents, and at the same time maintain the progress of work in those projects and the completion of their stages according to the schedule. The time frame set for it, while fully adhering to public health and safety standards.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Housing conducts medical examinations in addition to awareness campaigns for workers and visitors to construction sites periodically throughout the year, as part of the Ministry's program aimed at raising awareness and preserving the safety and health of workers in housing projects.
