Her Excellency Ms. Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, received Dr. Shaikha Fay bint Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of Bahrain Smart Cities Society, along with a number of members of the Board of Directors.
During the meeting, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to continue strengthening cooperation and coordination with Bahrain Smart Cities Society and various specialised entities, and to benefit from national expertise in the fields of innovation, digital transformation, and smart city applications, in a manner that contributes to developing housing and urban services and initiatives, and supports the sustainability of residential communities.
The meeting discussed opportunities to utilise data, modern technologies, and smart solutions in developing housing and urban projects and services, in a way that enhances operational efficiency and keeps pace with developments in the fields of smart cities and urban planning.
For her part, Dr. Shaikha Fay bint Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of Bahrain Smart Cities Society, commended the efforts of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in providing housing services and solutions to citizens, as well as the development witnessed by the housing system in diversifying options and employing modern technologies. She affirmed the Society’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the Ministry and exchange expertise in the fields of innovation, smart cities, and urban planning.
