Within the framework of government efforts to develop and re-engineer the quality of services The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has developed the procedure for requesting home renovation

As part of the government's ongoing efforts to improve and re-engineer the quality of services, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has developed the home renovation request service procedure, by transforming the process of verifying citizens' data from a manual procedure to an automated electronic procedure, which contributes to accelerating the study of requests, raising the efficiency of procedures, and improving the quality of housing services provided to citizens.

Under the improved service, the service completion period was reduced from 20 business days to 5 business days, the service level agreement period was reduced by 25%, and information published about the service across various channels was standardized by directly verifying applicant data, instead of the manual verification procedures previously in place.

In this context, Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that developing the procedure comes within the Ministry's ongoing efforts to simplify internal procedures and raise their efficiency, which is directly reflected in the speed of completing citizens' transactions, and contributes to providing a smoother and clearer experience for those wishing to benefit from the home renovation request service.

Minister Al Rumaihi explained that re-engineering the procedure aims to achieve 100% electronic transformation, which enhances the accuracy and transparency of procedures and raises the level of integration between the concerned authorities.

The developed path is based on four main steps, starting with the citizen entering the service using the electronic key and submitting a request for a home renovation service, then having the request verified by specialists, electronically verifying the data, and finally taking the final action regarding accepting or rejecting the request, in a fully automated procedure. Developing the procedures for accepting a home renovation service request contributes to reducing time and effort, and enhances the ease of accessing and benefiting from the service.

It is worth noting that, as part of the government's ongoing efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated and published, 800 of which have undergone development and re-engineering in various government sectors, based on proposals and comments received regarding government services through the National System of Proposals and Complaints «Tawasul», investor comments, and confidential shopper reports to evaluate government services, in addition to launching guidelines and service level agreements This contributes to raising the efficiency of procedures, improving the quality of services provided, enhancing the beneficiary experience, and supporting the government's digital transformation process.
