Her Excellency Ms. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, participated in a dialogue session entitled "The Implications of the Middle East and its Global Impacts on Housing and Urban Planning", as part of the work of the World Urban Forum «WUF13» held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, jointly organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Program (Habitat) and the Government of Azerbaijan.

Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed in her speech during the dialogue session that the Kingdom of Bahrain presented a model for quickly responding to the civil damage caused to homes and infrastructure in a number of regions of the Kingdom as a result of the heinous Iranian attacks that the Kingdom has been subjected to recently Noting that the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain is working according to an integrated working mechanism to implement the high royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, ordered the government to undertake to address the damage caused to Citizens' homes.
Minister Amna Al Rumaihi said that the heinous Iranian attacks that targeted residential areas constitute a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and a direct threat to the security and stability of societies, stressing that these attacks also represent a challenge to international efforts aimed at implementing the eleventh goal of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, which stipulates "making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable."

During the dialogue session, Minister Al Rumaihi reviewed the efforts made by the Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to address housing units damaged during the sinful Iranian attacks on the Kingdom, and to provide compensation for the damage they sustained, as well as the government's efforts to compensate citizens' vehicles and private property.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning also reviewed the stages that the government began implementing immediately after the targeting of homes and urban areas occurred, starting with inventorying the damage and evaluating it through specialized work teams, through repair work and implementing appropriate engineering solutions for each case, all the way to completing compensation procedures and delivering the units, in order to achieve the completion of the work within the time frame set for it, and enabling citizens to return to their homes within the first batch according to the specified implementation path Emphasizing the continuation of implementing the plan with accelerated quality and pace to complete the repair of the remaining batches of homes damaged by the blatant Iranian aggression, ensuring the return of stability to the affected families as soon as possible.

The Minister also touched on the emergency preparations taken by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, by providing temporary and equipped residential apartments in Salman City for families whose residential units were severely damaged, until the completion of the treatment work for the units, noting that the competent authorities are currently handing over their residential units and homes to families as soon as Each damaged unit is fully ready.

At the conclusion of her speech, Her Excellency the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning noted the great national cohesion that accompanied the reconstruction efforts, praising the initiative of the National Volunteer Platform through the «Bahrain is Fine campaign.. As long as you are its people», and the contributions of the private sector that embodied the spirit of national responsibility, stressing that the true strength of countries is not measured only by their development plans, but also by their ability to protect their gains and respond effectively to ensure the security and stability of their citizens, regardless of the scale of regional challenges.
