In implementation of the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, regarding the government's commitment to address the damage caused to citizens' homes as a result of the heinous Iranian attacks, Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, made a field visit to Al Hidd Housing City, to review the progress of work in addressing the damage caused to housing units, and to ensure that the pace of completion is accelerated according to the specified timetables To ensure that citizens return to their homes as soon as possible, and to reflect a firm commitment to protecting citizens and maintaining their stability in living conditions under these exceptional circumstances.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning stressed that these efforts embody the interest attached by the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to continue enhancing the elements of security and stability, preserving national gains, and consolidating the quality of life for citizens in various circumstances.
The Minister stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and continuing coordination between the various concerned parties, which would contribute to completing the work with high efficiency and in accordance with the best approved technical and engineering standards.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning also visited the temporary alternative housing buildings project in Salman City, where she was briefed on the readiness of the residential apartments that have been fully equipped and furnished, and designated as temporary alternative housing to receive citizens whose residential units are damaged, until the completion of maintenance and treatment work in their homes in Al-Hidd Housing City and the Sitra area.
Minister Al Rumaihi confirmed that the Ministry, in coordination with the relevant government agencies, is proceeding with implementing an integrated plan that includes identifying and addressing the damage, in addition to providing alternative housing solutions that ensure the stability of the affected families during the period of implementation of the repair work, noting that the work teams are continuing their efforts to accelerate the pace of completion and reduce the duration of the impact to the minimum possible.
She explained that preparing and fully furnishing alternative temporary apartments reflects the government's approach to responding immediately and practically to citizens' needs, and ensuring the provision of a suitable and safe housing environment that guarantees family stability, stressing that the citizen will remain at the top of priorities in all government plans and initiatives.
