In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, to accelerate the pace of housing projects to provide 50,000 new housing units, and the order of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to begin providing 7,000 housing services, coinciding with the Kingdom of Bahrain's celebration of its national holidays, and the twenty-sixth Sitting Day of His Majesty the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the accompanying national occasions, Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed the start of procedures to implement the plan to provide housing services to citizens, which includes allocating housing financing, in addition to handing over a number of ownership service projects in housing cities.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, extended her deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, for the continuous care and support provided by the wise leadership to the social housing sector in the Kingdom.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to continue providing social housing services to citizens, in line with the housing goals contained in the government's 2023–2026 program.
Regarding the implementation of the housing services provision plan, Her Excellency the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning said that the Ministry has begun communicating with the participating financing entities and banks to coordinate the disbursement of financing amounts to the beneficiary citizens, in addition to the technical and engineering teams starting to inventory the completed projects, as well as the projects that have reached advanced stages of completion, in preparation for their delivery within the ownership services, indicating that work is underway to prepare lists of beneficiaries included in the plan They will be contacted in batches to complete the procedures according to the approved mechanisms.
The Minister added that the plan to provide 7,000 housing services includes an integrated package of financing and housing options, which enhances the diversity of solutions available to citizens, and gives them greater flexibility in choosing the service that best suits their needs, stressing that the Ministry works according to work paths that ensure the speed of providing suitable housing for citizens, through immediate services and diverse housing purposes in line with the needs of Bahraini families Pointing out that the Ministry's work teams will continue to harness all their energies during the next stage to accelerate the pace of providing services and achieving the desired goals.
