Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the Ministry recently completed allocating projects for the first phase of the option to obtain a housing voucher and benefit from construction financing through the "Tasheel" program, in a number of housing projects in various governorates of the Kingdom.
She pointed out that the Ministry is currently working on preparing the timetable for allocating 804 housing services within new batches of vouchers and construction financing in all governorates, during the coming months of November and December.
She added that the coming days will witness the Ministry addressing the beneficiaries of the housing voucher option and construction financing from the "Tasheel" program, in several installments starting from November until the end of December, in order to complete the allocation procedures.
The Minister added that the Ministry is working to accelerate the pace of completion of infrastructure works in 9 housing projects included in the plan to deliver the option of housing vouchers and construction financing, noting that the award of bids for a large number of tenders to provide infrastructure services with vouchers has been completed recently, which will be reflected in the acceleration of completion rates and the speed of delivering vouchers to beneficiaries.
She also reported that the Ministry is continuing to work on allocating additional vouchers within this option during the next phase, as they will be allocated after the completion rates in infrastructure work reach advanced stages in various governorates of the Kingdom.
The Minister pointed out that citizens are given housing vouchers and construction financing according to the readiness of the housing vouchers in each project, as the mechanism is based on addressing the beneficiaries of each completed project, to conduct an electronic withdrawal of the housing voucher, followed by the stage of delivering the voucher to the beneficiaries immediately after the completion of providing infrastructure services, and then disbursing the value of construction financing from the "Tasheel" program in the amount of 40 thousand dinars.
On the other hand, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning said that the ministry has finished delivering to beneficiaries the other housing options and solutions included in the housing demand fulfillment plan, the seniority of which dates back to the years 2004 and before, and which includes the option to benefit from the maximum financing facility worth 70 thousand dinars and provide the citizen with a non-refundable financial grant worth 10 thousand dinars As well as the option to benefit from an ownership apartment with a non-refundable financial grant worth 3 thousand dinars, as the allocation of the residential apartments due under the second option has been completed in response to the requests of those wishing to benefit from ownership apartments.
The Minister stressed that meeting old housing requests is the Ministry's top priority since the launch of the program, within the framework of ensuring the provision of suitable housing for beneficiaries of these options, stressing that working to provide all the options offered is witnessing double efforts, based on the keenness to accelerate their utilization.
She also pointed out that all housing applications in general, and applications nominated to benefit from alternative options and solutions whose seniority dates back to 2004 and before, are the pillar of the Ministry's work during the past and next stages, noting the Ministry's keenness to diversify housing options and provide the necessary facilities and flexibility, so that citizens can obtain their housing service as quickly as possible, in implementation of the goals contained in the government's program 2023-2026.
