The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning held its fourth meeting for the year 2025, headed by Ms. Donia Faisal Sarhan, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information and Chairman of the Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry.
During the meeting, Ms. Donia Faisal Sarhan, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information and Chairman of the Equal Opportunities Committee, stressed the Ministry's keenness to continue promoting a stimulating work environment based on the principle of equal opportunities, in a way that supports excellence and creativity within a sustainable institutional approach.
She referred to the Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for the Advancement of Bahraini Women, explaining that it is one of the pioneering national initiatives that reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to promoting women's advancement and consolidating their active presence in various sectors. It constitutes an inspiring platform for promoting equality and motivating institutions to adopt qualitative initiatives that support national development goals.
In addition, the committee discussed a set of initiatives aimed at further promoting the principle of equal opportunities in various sectors of the Ministry, in line with the objectives of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2025–2026).
