The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry are discussing developments to enhance cooperation in the areas of "social housing" and "urban planning"

Her Excellency Ms. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, held an extensive working meeting with His Excellency Mr. Samir Abdullah Nas, President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of members of the Chamber's Board of Directors at the Ministry
During the meeting, a number of topics related to Bahrain's housing and real estate sectors were discussed. in which the results of the Ministry's plans for the provision of housing services were reviewed through the lines of partnership with the private sector, Through the Housing Finance Program, which is witnessing a high turnout and escalation by citizens as a result of the flexibility provided by the program in terms of both the procedures of the Ministry and the offers of banks and banks participating in the program in addition to the Government's Land Development Rights Programme in partnership with the private sector, It is also witnessing growth and expansion of projects with real estate developers.
The meeting also exchanged views on ways to achieve the sustainability of the provision of housing services to citizens by enhancing the involvement of the private sector in the system of providing housing services to citizens, and enhancing more facilities and support to achieve this goal.
In a related context, the meeting reviewed developments in the planning and urban development sector, policies to implement development projects and programmes, achieve urban upgrading and complete the planning, classification and division of land in line with the Government's programme.

There was also discussion on the efforts to support real estate development projects in the Kingdom and the relevant resolutions, including the new mechanism for the implementation of infrastructure works in major sharing schemes, after the Planning and Urban Development Authority has completed the study of the requirements for their development in order to facilitate procedures for those involved in the real estate sector and improve competitiveness in its various fields.
The meeting stressed the importance of continuing to coordinate joint efforts between the Ministry and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry to provide housing and urban planning sectors with further gains, which achieve common visions and aspirations, and enhance services provided to citizens.
