Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, at her office in the Ministry, received H.E. Mr. Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bahrain, and a number of students participating in the Embassy's "One-Day Ambassador" competition for girls aged 15 to 18.
During the meeting, the Minister welcomed the British Ambassador, praising the directors of the "One-day Ambassador" competition organized by the British Embassy in Bahrain through the selection of winners for their appointment as ambassadors for a day, which aims to qualify girls for leadership and management skills by adopting community themes and working to manage them and create opportunities for development and improvement.
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bahrain, expressed his pride in the historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom in various fields and the Kingdom's development and development at various levels.
The Ambassador also appreciated the interest of the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning in the idea of the competition and encouraging participation in it, as an opportunity to build diplomatic skills, trust and leadership and make proposals to address the various societal topics of young Bahraini women.
