Her ExcellencyMrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Planning, received inher office His Excellency Engineer Fahd bin Saleh Al Mutlaq, Undersecretary ofUrban Planning and Lands at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs andHousing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the presence of His ExcellencyEngineer Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al Khayyat, Chairman of the Urban Planning andDevelopment Authority, and His Excellency Engineer Assem Abdul Latif Abdul God,Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, and a number ofofficials from both sides.
During the meeting, ways of jointcooperation and exchange of experiences were discussed in a number of topicsrelated to the social housing sector and urban planning, and a number of commontopics were reviewed, including the formation of a joint technical committeebetween the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to developplanning solutions for residential neighborhoods, exchange professional, technicaland successful experiences that will increaseopportunities for cooperation and expertise between the two sides.
For his part, His Excellency theUndersecretary for Urban Planning and Lands at the Ministry of Municipal, RuralAffairs and Housing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia appreciated the experienceof the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of social housing, especially theexpansion of partnership programs with the private sector, whether through theHousing Finance Program or the Government Land Development Rights Program,which contributes to housing services, without waiting periods, he pointed tothe convergence in plans and programs between the Kingdom of Bahrain and theKingdom of Saudi Arabia in this field, and expressed his wishes for the Kingdomof Bahrain for continued success, progress and prosperity.
