His Excellency Engineer Asim Abdul Latif Abdullah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, participated in the twenty-fourth meeting of the undersecretaries concerned with housing affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held this morning in Muscat.
During the meeting, a number of topics on the agenda were reviewed in preparation for submitting decisions to the meeting of Their Excellencies and Excellencies the ministers concerned with housing affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, most notably the proposal of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council regarding the joint Gulf housing action plan during the period extending from 2024 to 2030.
The meeting also discussed developments in the joint housing information bases and the unified general rules for real estate owners in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to discussing the General Secretariat’s proposal regarding signing agreements with specialized organizations that serve the housing field.
Preparations for organizing the second edition of the Second Gulf Housing Conference and the Gulf Cooperation Council Award in the field of housing were discussed, and ways of exchanging expertise, experiences and information were reviewed.
On the other hand, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning participated, along with the undersecretaries of the ministries concerned with housing affairs, in the activities of the first Gulf Housing Week, which includes the Gulf Housing Conference and Exhibition. The Undersecretary praised the efforts of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in the Sultanate of Oman in organizing this Gulf housing event, and the distinguished participation of the delegations. Gulf Participation, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to participate in such Gulf entitlements that contribute to strengthening ties between the GCC countries, and contribute to the exchange of expertise and experiences that enrich housing plans and goals.
