Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, stated that the Ministry has begun the steps to implement the 131 housing units project in Salman City through the government land development rights program in partnership with the private sector, after the procedures for awarding the tender for its implementation have reached their final stages, and it is hoped The actual construction work will begin before the end of this year.
Minister Al-Rumaihi said that the Ministry has redoubled its efforts during the recent period to put into effect the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, regarding expanding the implementation of government land development rights program projects, noting that the Ministry is implementing 8 additional projects within the program, which he directed. His Highness in the Cabinet session last month, in addition to the implementation of 280 housing units in Khalifa City through this program.

The Minister said that the results achieved in the pilot phase of the government land development rights programme, represented by the offering of the “Es’hail” project’s 132 housing units at the housing financing exhibition, and the availability of 93% of the project’s units in a record period, gave additional impetus to the Ministry to move forward with implementing Projects scheduled in this ambitious program, which supports beneficiaries of the housing financing program by providing a base of housing projects at prices commensurate with the value of the financing.
 
Al-Rumaihi also indicated that the Ministry is coordinating with all relevant authorities to ensure the availability of the required building permits, and to ensure the availability of the necessary basic infrastructure at project sites so that the development process is smooth and ensures speedy implementation.

This came during the inspection visit carried out by Her Excellency the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning to the site designated for the implementation of 131 housing units in partnership with the private sector, in addition to the residential buildings project in Salman City, in the presence of the Undersecretary, Engineer Asim Abdul Latif Abdullah, and a number of officials in the Ministry.

During the visit, the Minister was briefed on the progress of construction work in a number of projects under construction in Salman City. The progress of work on allocating subsidiary road networks for vehicles to connect the projects built on the islands with the city’s main road network was also inspected. The level of progress in infrastructure services was also reviewed, and the Minister directed To continue work at an accelerated pace, with the aim of delivering housing services to beneficiaries as soon as possible.

During the visit, the Minister also reviewed with the Ministry’s officials and the engineering team the stages of implementing service projects in the city, which were developed within a priority plan that the Ministry is currently coordinating with the relevant ministries and bodies with the aim of implementing them according to the timetable specified for them.
