Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that Bahraini women have a special priority in terms of entitlement to housing services, through their representation in a number of eligible categories that meet the criteria for benefiting from the services provided by the Ministry, especially the second category, which represents divorced or divorced women. The widow with custody of minor children, and the fifth category, which represents the divorced woman, the non-custodial widow, the single woman, or the orphan of the parents, confirming that there is continuous coordination regarding women’s applications with the Supreme Council for Women, in light of the great interest paid by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of the King. Al-Bilad Al-Muazzam, President of the Supreme Council for Women, in this regard.

The Minister said that the Ministry has provided more than 4,000 housing services to Bahraini female citizens, and the Ministry also grants Bahraini female citizens a housing allowance directly after their housing request is accepted, noting that this comes as a result of the high care given by the wise leadership to provide public services to female citizens, including housing services. .
This came when Her Excellency Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, attended the discussion panel organized by the delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, which witnessed the presence of a number of officials from women leaders from Various countries of the world.
 
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning indicated during the meeting that Bahraini women enjoy great support in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which has consolidated their progress at all levels, whether in terms of entitlement to services, or enabling them to hold positions, and their involvement in various fields of national work, noting in this regard that the Kingdom It has achieved great progress at this level in recent years, and Bahraini women have begun to play influential roles in the areas of political, economic and social work, citing the fact that 5 women have held ministerial positions in the current ministerial formation, and the representation of 8 women in the membership of the House of Representatives, and 10 in the membership of the Shura Council in addition To 3 women in municipal councils.

She added that the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the National Action Charter guaranteed Bahraini women justice and equality in rights and duties among citizens, men and women, and provided a legislative environment that supported family and social stability.

Participants in the panel discussion praised the care and attention that women in the Kingdom of Bahrain receive in various fields, wishing the Kingdom continued success and progress.
