The Committee for Equal Opportunities at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning held its first periodic meeting for the current year, chaired by Ms. Donia Sarhan, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, where the committee's strategic plan for the years 2023-2024 was reviewed and discussed, and ways to enhance opportunities to support women in the various departments and divisions of the ministry.
Sarhan explained that the committee has formulated several proposals for implementation, and is also working on preparing a comprehensive plan for conducting training courses and specific events to develop the capabilities and skills of employees that would improve the work of the ministry as a whole, noting that the doors of the committee are open to all for any proposals and initiatives.
The meeting also discussed a number of ideas and proposals that contribute to identifying the needs of women in the ministry in order to achieve equal opportunities, support and encourage incentive policies for gender balance programs, and improve the work environment for ministry employees.
