Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, raised her warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the country’s great monarch, may God preserve and protect him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister May God protect him, and to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the great King of the country and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, on the occasion of Bahraini Women's Day, which falls on the first of December of each year, and comes under the umbrella of the main slogan of the occasion "I read - I learned - I participated ".
 
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning expressed her great pride in the important national contributions made by Bahraini women throughout the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and her active contributions in the various stages of building the country and its renaissance, through which she was able to play her influential and positive role in supporting the comprehensive development process that the Kingdom is witnessing. Thanks to the great and continuous support that Bahraini women enjoy and the generous care of His Majesty the King of the country, may God protect and protect him. Praising the pioneering role played by the Supreme Council for Women under the leadership of the wife of the great King of the country, may God protect her, in advancing the efforts of Bahraini women in all fields within the course of national action through the programs and plans included in the national strategy for the advancement of Bahraini women, until they have become an honorable model at the local and regional levels and international.

This came as the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning sponsored the event organized by the Ministry today within the framework of celebrating Bahraini Women's Day, with the participation of the Ministry's female employees in various departments and sections.
 
On the sidelines of the celebration, Al-Rumaihi referred to Bahraini women's recent local and international successes, pointing out that according to the second voluntary national report of the Kingdom of Bahrain that was submitted to the United Nations recently, the Kingdom ranked first in the world in bridging gender gaps in enrollment in secondary and university education. In addition to occupying the third place globally in the Global Competitiveness Yearbook 2022, issued by the Global Competitiveness Center of the International Institute for Management Development in the index of women in managerial positions.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning added that the complementary relationship between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Supreme Council for Women had a clear impact on Bahraini women's access to many services provided by the Ministry, stressing the Ministry's keenness to support the goals of the Supreme Council for Women and its initiative that contributes to supporting the advancement of women. Especially through the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning providing her with the right to housing, which is one of the most important rights guaranteed to her by the Kingdom's constitution, in support of her family stability, and in a way that guarantees her right to a dignified and safe life.
