The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning held an extensive working meeting with representatives of real estate development companies in the Kingdom, in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, and Dr. Khalid Abdullah, Director General of the Housing Bank, to discuss a number of common topics, as part of a work program aimed at providing housing projects Suitable for the beneficiaries of the new housing finance, in the presence of representatives from the Real Estate Regulatory Agency and the Housing Bank.
 
During the meeting, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning confirmed that the axis of partnership with the private sector is a great priority for the government, especially in the social housing sector, which is embodied in the new housing finances that were launched yesterday, which aims to provide the purchasing power of citizens to provide adequate housing in a way Instant.
 
She indicated to the Ministry its adoption of a work program aimed at increasing the supply of housing units and directing them to citizens wishing to benefit from the new financing services, referring in this regard to the government lands development rights program that the Ministry launched its pilot phase, represented in the construction of 132 housing units with a real estate developer, which is The project is nearing its final stages, and its units will be offered for marketing to the beneficiaries of the financing services.
The ministry added that the next stage will witness an expansion in the implementation of this program in the projects of Bahrain's housing cities and other housing sites in the various governorates of the Kingdom, as this program will contribute to the provision of many housing units over the coming years.
During the meeting, they discussed the requirements of the real estate market in the Kingdom, and the common visions for companies to provide housing units and vouchers at prices that suit the beneficiaries of the financing services, in order to ensure the success of the new financing program, and the successful initiatives that took place between the Ministry of Housing and real estate development companies to provide housing units for citizens Including the initiative to build housing units in the city of Salman, in addition to the Derat Al-Oyoun project, which provided more than 3000 housing units for citizens benefiting from financing services, as well as the housing bank projects in Danat Al-Baraka, Seef and Riffa City.
 
The ministry pointed out that it is working on integrating the housing work plan in establishing various development projects that citizens can benefit from, in order to achieve the objectives of the economic recovery plan, and in line with the principles and objectives of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030.
