Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amena bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, has affirmed the great care and support accorded to the social housing sector by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She stressed that the housing issue is top priority in the programmes of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
She added that the royal directives to provide 40,000 housing units will remain a milestone in the housing march initiated in the sixties of last century. She made the comments during a field tour of Slovak Deputy Prime Minister, Stefan Holy, and his accompanying delegation of Salman Town. Present were Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Undersecretary Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Projects eng. Redha Mohammed Al Adraj and senior officials.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning welcomed the Head and members of the delegation, wishing them a good stay in Bahrain. She highlighted the history of the kingdom in building towns and providing housing services for citizens. She pointed out that Salman Town represents the contemporary model of the government’s vision of building new urban communities and providing the needed facilities and services.
Al Romaihi affirmed the ministry’s readiness to exchange experiences with Slovakia Republic in the housing field in light of friendly relations between both countries.
