The Ministry of Housing hosted a delegation of the House of Representatives and Senate employees of the friendly United States of America (US Congress), as part of a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. To visit the waterfronts and itineraries to practice different hobbies.
This visit comes to enhance ways of joint cooperation and exchange of experiences and knowledge of development projects during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect him. The delegation was briefed on the efforts of the Ministry of Housing in the field of urban development and the quality of cities. Rashdan, Director of the Department of Construction and Maintenance of Housing Projects at the Ministry of Housing, gave a detailed presentation on the most important housing projects and modern cities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the depth of the strong historical relations and the existing partnership between the two friendly countries.
The delegation was also briefed on an introductory presentation on the modern cities of Bahrain and their accompanying services and systems for security, safety and protection of residents, as well as a review of the services available in each city, including bike paths and the practice of various hobbies, green spaces, gardens and waterfronts. The delegation visited models of the units Residential areas in East Hidd and the sites designated to be an outlet for residents, and all the delegation’s inquiries regarding the quality of cities and their areas and the beginning of the urban renaissance that accompanied all these housing transformations, and the provision of appropriate housing solutions for citizens of different groups, were answered.
For its part, the delegation expressed its admiration for the development of the housing march that the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain has given special importance since the 1960s, stressing that Bahrain has a pioneering experience in providing adequate housing for citizens that deserves to be commended.
The visiting delegation also praised what it saw of subsidized housing projects offered to citizens in different categories, and the effort and continuous work carried out by the Ministry through partnership with the private sector in a number of its projects, expressing their admiration for the scale of achievement and development in the five new cities.
