Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, Minister of Housing, revealed the volume of housing finances during the period from January to June, amounting to about 14.309 million Bahraini dinars, benefiting more than 284 citizens, stressing that the financing service is one of the options available to citizens to obtain adequate housing without the need for periods of time. Regarding the details of the semi-annual financing service, the Minister of Housing indicated that the Ministry provided 142 construction financing services worth 7,547,000 dinars, 127 purchase financing services with a value of 6,615,000 dinars, and 15 restoration financing services worth 147,400 dinars, stressing that the Ministry of Housing through the financing system operates on easy terms in accordance with the applicable financing system. It is in the Housing Bank and pursuant to Resolution No. (909) of 2015 regarding the housing system.
As for the restoration service, the engineer, Basem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, explained that this service is an additional service granted by the Ministry within its housing services to those wishing to benefit from these funds, as the amount of housing restoration financing was determined according to the applicant’s monthly income and the Ministry’s assessment of the required repairs and additions based on the minimum technical requirements for the dwelling according to The family’s need, whichever is less, and according to the funding schedule prepared by the ministry, where the amount of funding does not exceed 20,000 Bahraini dinars.
The Minister of Housing added that the rate of loan payments of all kinds, which the ministry has provided over the past years, indicates the positive curve of demand for the housing loan service, which is witnessing a great speed in its response and in cooperation with the Housing Bank, which reflects the success of the ministry's policy towards meeting the various needs of citizens, whether with requests for restoration or purchase or construction.
