Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamr, Minister of Housing, revealed that a large completion rate has been achieved in the "Al-Buhair" housing project in the Southern Governorate, reaching 99% of the construction work for housing units and infrastructure works.
The minister indicated that the project is proceeding according to the time plan with the aim of completing its implementation and distributing the units to the beneficiaries at an accelerated pace, so that the lake project falls within the work plan to provide 25 thousand housing units according to the current government program.
This came during an inspection tour conducted by His Excellency the Minister of Housing, with His Excellency Representative Ahmed Al-Ansari, Chairman of the Services Committee of the House of Representatives, to the project and in the presence of a number of engineers and supervisors of the lake project, to ensure the readiness of the project before proceeding to distribute its units to the beneficiaries.
The Minister of Housing expressed the Ministry’s constant keenness to review the requests of the nominated families to benefit from this project and other projects in accordance with the seniority criterion, indicating that during the next phase, the pace of work will be accelerated to complete the remaining completion percentages of the infrastructure.
For his part, His Excellency Representative Ahmed Al-Ansari valued the efforts of the Ministry of Housing in accelerating the pace of work on the project, in addition to its keenness to provide the appropriate living environment for those who deserve it in terms of commercial services, green spaces and an outlet to practice various hobbies in the region, reflecting the modern vision of the ministry's projects that did not exist previously.
It is worth noting that the first phase of the Al Buhair housing project includes 227 housing units, in addition to many services and facilities that will serve the beneficiaries of the project, in terms of providing special paths for pedestrians and practicing various hobbies, similar to the new housing cities in Bahrain to ensure the provision of an appropriate living environment.
