The director of the East Hidd City project, Engineer Muhammad Rashdan, stated that the procedures for handing over housing units to citizens are carried out according to a timetable in coordination between the departments of housing services and projects, indicating that this step comes after citizens complete the procedures for documenting contracts and opening bank accounts with the Housing Bank, and that the delivery procedure takes place after The citizen who has completed his procedures called the Ministry's hotline to book a delivery date.
Rashdan stated that the Ministry was keen during the past days to ensure the readiness of all units, and to review guarantees contracts with contractors, to ensure the delivery of high-quality housing service to citizens, stressing that the ministry attaches the axis of housing quality a high priority, as it receives direct attention from His Majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the beloved King of the country, may God protect him, and the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him.
He added that ministry officials were keen to share the joy of citizens receiving their housing units, especially since the nature of the housing file guarantees stability for Bahraini families by providing adequate housing, and that this matter is the goal of all plans and programs proposed by the ministry and is working to implement them at an accelerated pace.
The director of the East Hidd project said that the "Qlaiaa" district is distinguished by the design of its units that mimic the Bahraini architectural style and the coastal environment of the Hidd area, explaining that the ministry was keen when preparing designs and detailed plans for the project to be inspired by the details of the main city of Hidd, in order to preserve the general character and the social fabric. Which characterizes the people of the region.
He added that the environment surrounding the housing units of the project also received great attention in terms of design, as interior courtyards and coastal walkways were provided, as well as parks and children's play areas, adding that this approach to building housing cities is in line with the esteemed government's keenness to implement the eleventh goal of The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which states "Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable".
Rashdan noted that the procedures for the delivery of housing units come a few days after completing the procedures for handing over contracts to citizens, and they completed the documentation procedures and opened bank accounts with the Housing Bank, indicating that the speed in completing these procedures comes from the ministry’s keenness on the necessity to end the schedule for the distribution of 5,000 Housing unit and service ordered by His Highness the Crown Prince at the specified time.
