The Ministry of Housing, in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, organized an educational workshop for citizens benefiting from housing units in Khalifa City, East Hadd, Horat Sanad and Busaiteen projects, which relate to the construction requirements for building boundaries and the most prominent violations that may harm the architectural facades of residential projects. This workshop is presented to educational workshops. Coming to all beneficiaries of housing projects, out of their keenness to preserve the civilized appearance of housing projects and the new cities of Bahrain, and for the safety of the beneficiaries of the housing unit service.

The Ministry of Housing stated that it was keen, when preparing plans for new Bahrain cities and housing complex projects, to include all the necessary ingredients to achieve quality housing for citizens, including the possibility of expanding the units without compromising the integrity of the unit or damaging the general view of the projects, in a way that achieves the principle of improving housing units, and that it was used. The latest building materials in the various components of the housing unit, in line with the vision of the wise leadership and the government's program in providing cities and housing projects of high quality in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, especially the eleventh goal related to "making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable." .

Engineer Fawzia Al-Issa, head of the Project Planning and Coordination Group at the Ministry of Housing, gave in this workshop a presentation on the various projects that touched on the type of housing units and the nature of the plans in them, as well as how to obtain a building permit, expansion models, maintenance requests, etc., as these guidelines guarantee to the beneficiaries the right to expand the building area. For their units to ensure the safety and quality of the units in a safe manner and in an amount of up to 30% of the area of ​​the residential unit, Al-Issa also clarified that building permits are issued in record time, and that the Ministry of Housing plays a coordinating role in cooperation with Municipalities Affairs that organizes building permits, stressing that the Ministry of Housing always welcomes Receiving citizens and providing them with the necessary advice and guidance.

For his part, Eng.Abdul Aziz Al-Wadi, Head of the Control and Inspection Department at the Municipality of the Northern District, discussed the procedures for issuing building permits and the fines imposed for violations related to the regulatory requirements for building, indicating that the regulatory requirements within the permitted building limits aim to give citizens the flexibility to expand units according to their needs without contradicting Reconstruction requirements, while Eng. Hisham Al-Abbasi, Head of Supervision and Inspection in Muharraq Municipality, presented the most important instructions related to building permits, stressing the permissible limits of construction. Al-Abbasi explained that the Ministry of Housing, in cooperation with municipal affairs, has organized building boundaries in line with the aspirations of the citizen with areas of up to 30 Up to 40% of the possibility of building expansion, without prejudice to construction requirements, in an orderly manner consistent with the desired goals.

The workshop concluded with a presentation by Lawyer Ali Al-Thawadi from the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Housing, and he dealt with the legal procedures for receiving the housing service, and provided details of the terms of the contract, including the permitted organizational and technical matters, the method of monthly deduction, and the most prominent features provided to the beneficiary by the Ministry of Housing and the Housing Bank, and what is related to insurance The reasons for revoking utility licenses.

The joint cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning is not the first and last of its kind, as the two ministries used to work as one team in order to achieve the general interest of the country and citizens, and these workshops are considered among the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure taken at its meeting No. 75) held on 9/23/2020 regarding the issue of the regulation of violations of construction requirements in residential units.
