Her Excellency Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, welcomed Their Excellencies the ministers responsible for housing affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, who arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the 24th meeting of the Committee of GCC Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs, hosted by the Kingdom.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning expressed Bahrain’s pride in hosting the meeting and stressed the importance of building on the achievements made through joint Gulf cooperation in the housing sector, while further enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences among GCC member states across various housing fields.
The ministerial meeting is scheduled to discuss a number of items on its agenda related to joint Gulf housing cooperation, in addition to initiatives and programmes aimed at advancing coordination and cooperation among member states in the housing sector.
The ministerial meeting coincides with Bahrain’s hosting of the fourth Gulf Housing Week, which features broad Gulf participation and a programme of specialised events and activities aimed at exchanging expertise and showcasing modern experiences and practices in housing and urban development.
The GCC ministers and delegations arرحبت سعادة السيدة آمنة بنت أحمد الرميحي وزيرة الإسكان والتخطيط العمراني، بأصحاب المعالي والسعادة الوزراء المعنيين بشؤون الإسكان بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، الذين توافدوا إلى مملكة البحرين للمشاركة في الاجتماع الرابع والعشرين للجنة أصحاب المعالي والسعادة الوزراء المعنيين بشؤون الإسكان بدول مجلس التعاون، الذي تستضيفه المملكة.
وأعربت سعادة وزيرة الإسكان والتخطيط العمراني عن اعتزاز مملكة البحرين باستضافة الاجتماع، مؤكدةً أهمية مواصلة البناء على ما تحقق من مكتسبات في مسيرة العمل الإسكاني الخليجي المشترك، وتعزيز تبادل الخبرات والتجارب بين الدول الأعضاء في مختلف مجالات الإسكان.
ومن المقرر أن يناقش الاجتماع الوزاري عددًا من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، والمرتبطة بمسارات العمل الإسكاني الخليجي المشترك، إلى جانب المبادرات والبرامج الهادفة إلى تطوير التعاون والتنسيق بين الدول الأعضاء في القطاع الإسكاني.
ويتزامن انعقاد الاجتماع الوزاري مع استضافة مملكة البحرين الأسبوع الإسكاني الخليجي الرابع، الذي يشهد مشاركة خليجية واسعة وبرنامجًا من الفعاليات والأنشطة المتخصصة الهادفة إلى تبادل الخبرات واستعراض التجارب والممارسات الحديثة في مجالات الإسكان والتنمية العمرانية.
كما يشارك أصحاب المعالي والسعادة الوزراء والوفود الخليجية في النسخة الثانية من مؤتمر ومعرض الابتكار في قطاع السكن الاجتماعي 2026، الذي يقام ضمن فعاليات الأسبوع الإسكاني الخليجي، ويجمع نخبة من المسؤولين والخبراء والمختصين وممثلي القطاعين المصرفي والعقاري، لاستعراض الحلول والتجارب المبتكرة وبحث آفاق الشراكة في تطوير منظومة السكن الاجتماعي.e also participating in the second edition of the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition 2026, held as part of Gulf Housing Week.
