His Excellency Dr.Khalfan Al-Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, accompanied by His Excellency Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, His Excellency Mr. Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, and Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, made a field visit to the city of Salman.On Saturday morning, on the sidelines of the visit of His Excellency and his accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the visit, Minister Al Rumaihi reviewed the stages of the housing process in the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially in the social housing sector, and the Ministry’s work paths to provide adequate housing for citizens, which include the housing financing program, the path of the government land development rights program in partnership with the private sector, as well as the new path related to providing government support to real estate development companies.To increase the real estate stock in the Kingdom, in addition to the path of completing the implementation of planned projects in housing cities.
The visit included a field tour of the "Al Naseem Neighborhood" project, which is included in the "Government Land Development Rights" program implemented by the Ministry with a real estate development company, where Minister Al Rumaihi confirmed that the great demand from citizens for such projects motivated the Ministry to expand its partnership with the private sector, with the aim of Increasing the real estate stock in the Kingdom to accommodate the increasing growth in demand for social housing projects By providing support to real estate development companies to implement housing on private and government lands, in proportion to the funds provided by the Ministry to citizens.
Then, His Excellency Minister Al-Shuaili and his accompanying delegation reviewed the project of the developed generation of residential buildings in Salman City, which provides 1,362 residential apartments.Minister Al-Rumaihi reviewed the components of the project, its most prominent features, and the advanced residential units it provides with a modern design.
The visit also included viewing the city's facilities, including beaches and waterfronts, pedestrian and bicycle paths, open areas and green spaces.
For her part, Her Excellency the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning appreciated the inspection visit made by His Excellency Minister Al-Shuaili to the city, a visit that reflects the complementary relationship between brotherly countries and the common interest in achieving the interests of citizens.
For his part, His Excellency Minister Al-Shuaili expressed his country's keenness to strengthen relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields, including the field of social housing, praising the urban renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom by opening broader horizons for investment opportunities in housing projects, stressing the Sultanate's desire to benefit from the expertise of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this field.
