As part of His Majesty King Hamad binIsa Al Khalifa's executive plan to accelerate housing projects to provide50,000 new housing units s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, HisExcellency Mr. Youssef Mohamed Bujiri, Chief Executive Officer of Baraq Al-RetajMemorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planningand Bragg Al-Retaj Real Estate Services, With a view to allocating vouchers forthe Ras Hayyan village project in the southern governorate Wahati Project inQalali district of Muharraq governorate at exclusive prices for thebeneficiaries of the Housing Finance Program options.

On this occasion, Her Excellency Mrs.Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, affirmedthat the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Housing and UrbanPlanning and the Baraq Al-Retaj Real Estate Services Company is part of thejoint coordination and preparatory efforts for the conference and exhibition ofinnovation in the social housing Held under the auspices of His Royal HighnessPrince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister from April23 to 25 at the Bahrain World Exhibition Centre.

 

Al-Rumaihi commended the efforts ofthe Company in providing housing projects in various governorates of Bahrainand its desire to strengthen partnership with the public sector in providingreal estate projects commensurate with the value of housing financingbenefiting citizens.

The Minister said that the next phasewill see more cooperation between the government and private sectors with aview to increasing housing projects in various governorates, therebycontributing to providing citizens with flexibility to choose the type,location and space of housing service that suits their needs.

 

For his part, Mr. Yusuf MohamedBujiri, Chief Executive Officer of Bragg Al-Retaj Real Estate Services, haspaid tribute to the efforts of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning inproviding housing services to citizens and to promote partnership with theprivate sector to diversify housing choices for the beneficiaries of the housingfinance programme, He stressed that the company's endeavours to participate inthe Ministry's efforts to enhance the supply of housing projects and units inthe Kingdom, in order to achieve the desired aspirations.

 

Bujiri stressed that the company willoffer during its dedicated pavilion at the Housing Finance Expo many access tohousing on an immediate basis through projects to be displayed under theHousing Finance Programme, including the project "Ras HayyanVillage", and the apartments of the project "Wahati", which willbe offered at prices commensurate with the value of housing financing, invitingvisitors to visit the company's pavilion and take advantage of those offers.

 

It is worth mentioning that theConference on Innovation in the Social Housing Sector brings together aselection of relevant parties locally, regionally and internationally Theconference sessions will include exchanges of experiences on the most prominentdesigns and innovative techniques in construction, The private sector'sinvestment opportunities for the development of the social housing sector, aswell as the integration of society's requirements into the implementation ofsocial housing programmes and services, and strengthening legal mechanisms andregulatory procedures in the social housing sector, as well as optimizing landareas to provide sustainable urban communities.

 

A number of ministers and officialsfrom the government and private sectors from inside and outside Bahrainparticipate in the conference, as well as a selection of international speakersspecializing in the social housing sector to enrich the conference's axes. Theexhibition contains more than 30 pavilions for government agencies, commercialbanks and real estate development companies. The exhibition will provide manyresidential projects available through the housing finance program.
