This came at the launch of the afforestation initiative of the East Zirah Housing City Project in the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, His Excellency Sheikha Maram bint Isa Al-Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Agricultural Sector Development Initiative and His Excellency Mr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Under-Secretary for Municipal Affairs, His Excellency Engineer Asim Abdul Latif Abdullah, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and engineer Yasser Abd al-Rahim al-Abbasi, President of the Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company, and a number of officials of the Ministry and those responsible for the initiative.
On the margins of the initiative's launch, Minister Amna Al-Rumaihi appreciated the efforts of Her Excellency Sheikha Maram bint Isa Al-Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Initiative for the Development of the Agricultural Sector, and all those implementing afforestation initiatives. Minister Al-Rumaihi said that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning was supporting the efforts of the National Afforestation Initiative on the basis of a common interest in increasing the green area in housing city projects The East Jacket City Afforestation Initiative is the second of its kind, Following the launch of the East Border City Afforestation Initiative earlier In this regard, noting that the Ministry, in coordination with the National Initiative for the Development of the Agricultural Sector, has launched a new initiative in initiating the delivery of housing units in the city of East Citra, It is intended to provide each beneficiary with an agricultural seedling unit, with the aim of encouraging agriculture within the housing units.

Her Excellency also thanked GPIC for their continued support of the campaign, noting the importance of activating further joint cooperation methods to contribute to the promotion of the agricultural sector and the expansion of the Green Slope in all regions of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
