Coinciding with the celebration of the silver jubilee of the twenty-fifth anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, the reins of government, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning continued to hand over the keys to the housing units to the beneficiaries of the units of the first phase in the city of East Sitra. Announcing the start of the plan to hand over the units during the visit of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, to the city yesterday, Sunday, which will continue until the end of next May.
The procedure for handing over housing units to citizens benefiting from East Sitra City units comes after citizens complete the electronic withdrawal procedures for the units and document legal contracts, as the Ministry has scheduled the names of the beneficiaries according to intensive daily schedules, with the aim of quickly handing over citizens their units, in preparation for moving into them.
The Ministry indicated that as part of the efforts to provide support to the recent beneficiaries of housing units, whether in the city of East Sitra, the city of Salman, or the city of East Hidd, which are projects that were included in the distribution plan recently completed by the Ministry, the Ministry has strengthened the “Support” initiative. Which provides beneficiaries with exclusive offers from a number of furniture and electronics companies and showrooms, and companies specialized in the field of interior design, with the aim of providing discounts that contribute to quickly furnishing the residential unit and preparing it in preparation for living in it.
The Ministry added that the “Support” initiative represents one of the axes of strengthening the partnership between the government and private sectors from the social aspect to provide housing support for citizens, by providing offers and discounts that contribute to reducing the cost of moving to live in the new housing unit, noting the success of this initiative in achieving its goals within Previous projects were delivered to beneficiaries, and discount offers have been strengthened and intensified with a large number of companies recently to serve recent beneficiaries of housing services.
On the other hand, the Ministry said that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, coordination was made regarding the delivery of agricultural seedlings to each beneficiary of a housing unit, with the aim of encouraging the culture of afforestation in residential units, in line with the policy of interest in afforestation on main and secondary roads, and providing green spaces in the city. She stated that this also comes within efforts to implement the Kingdom’s commitments to achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.
The beneficiaries of the housing units expressed their thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership and the esteemed government for providing them with housing services in the city of East Sitra, which would provide them with a stable means of living for themselves and their families.
