The Ministry of Housing participates in the 40th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction in Tripoli

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning participated in the 40th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, which was held in conjunction with the Fifth Arab Ministerial Forum for Housing and Sustainable Urban Development under the title “Localizing Sustainable Development Goals for Reconstruction and Disaster Response.”

The Ministry was represented at the meetings by Ms. Fatima Ibrahim Al-Mannai, Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Services Affairs at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, and Mr. Haitham Kamal, Director of Communications at the Ministry. During the meeting, a number of items on the agenda of the 40th session were reviewed, including the presentation of the executive plan for the Arab Strategy for Housing and Urban Development. The 2030 Sustainable Development Plan, the Arab Housing Conference, the Arab Ministerial Forum for Housing and Urban Development, and cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, in addition to cooperation with Arab, regional and international organizations, relevant Arab unions, and Arab partners of the Council of the Ministry of Housing and Construction.

The participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the session’s work comes as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance Arab cooperation in the field of housing and construction, and to discuss the fourth item specifically, which falls under the title: (Developments regarding the website of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction, designing the database and information to activate the Council’s objectives), which Responsibility for its development falls under the umbrella of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, where the Ministry’s delegation reviewed the developments of the site and the development that occurred on it.
