Her Excellency Ms. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, held a joint working meeting with His Excellency Dr. Gladden Papen, President of the Hungarian Cradle for International Affairs in the Republic of Hungary, in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Abdullah Abdul Latif Abdullah, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Hungary residing in Berlin, on the sidelines of the participation of the Kingdom’s delegation headed by Her Excellency the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning at the Fifth Budapest Demographic Summit commissioned by His Majesty the King of the country.
During the meeting, a number of relevant topics presented at the Demographic Summit were discussed, and the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain delegation in the summit’s work was highlighted, through topics that highlight the plans and programs of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to provide social support to Bahraini families, including housing support represented by various housing services that It is provided to citizens since the beginning of the housing march in the Kingdom, and the developments witnessed by that march in terms of building housing cities and providing housing units for Bahraini families.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning also touched on the housing gains that were achieved during the last decade, represented by completing the implementation of the Royal Directive to provide 40,000 housing units for citizens, and expanding the diversification of housing options for citizens in partnership with the private sector, by diversifying and developing financing solutions through the housing financing program. , and implementing government land development rights program projects, noting that these programs aim to sustain the provision of housing services to citizens, and provide immediate housing solutions for them without lengthy waiting periods.
During the meeting, ways of cooperation and benefiting from experiences with the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs were also discussed in the legislative fields and plans and programs for providing social support to citizens.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Gladden Papen, President of the Hungarian Cradle for International Affairs in the Republic of Hungary, appreciated the programs and plans directed to support citizens in the Kingdom, by providing housing services and social services in general, stressing the Institute’s readiness to cooperate and exchange expertise and experiences in these fields.
