Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the Ministry has made many housing gains through the "Housing Finance Exhibition" in its second edition, explaining that the organization of the exhibition comes within the framework of efforts aimed at keeping pace with the lofty royal visions of His Majesty King Hamad. bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect and protect him, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to provide the requirements and needs of citizens that meet their aspirations for a decent life, foremost of which is the provision of adequate housing without periods waiting.
And the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning indicated that the exhibition witnessed more than 24 thousand visitors, and that the housing financing services received great demand from citizens with existing housing requests, as well as those wishing to apply for new applications to benefit from housing services, noting that the percentage of demand for financing " Real estate facilitation, cooperation facilitation, and home facilitation amounted to 70.1%, while the percentage of “Mazaya” financing of both its traditional and innovative types reached 29.9%.
And in the framework of partnership with the private sector; Minister Al-Rumaihi confirmed that citizens accepted the reservation of real estate provided by real estate companies at the exhibition, which exceeded 10,000 properties, and the reservations varied between villas, plots and apartments in various governorates of the Kingdom, as a result of the diversity of financing purposes offered by the “Facilitation” and “Mazaya” financing of the newly created category. It is noteworthy that the percentage of reservations for villas in the exhibition amounted to 57%, while the percentage of reservations for vouchers amounted to 41%, and for residential apartments 2%.
As for the "Suhail" project, which represents the first projects of the government land rights development program, which the ministry put forward at the housing finance exhibition, Minister Al-Rumaihi pointed out that the percentage of reservations for its housing units during the exhibition amounted to 93%, which is the percentage that reflects the success of the government's vision in Providing immediate services to citizens, by providing citizens with a variety of housing options to benefit from through the housing finance program.
Al-Rumaihi appreciated the efforts of all parties to the housing finance system, which resulted in achieving these positive results, including the real estate development companies contributing to offering housing projects and plans at prices suitable for the beneficiaries of the new financing programs, as well as local banks and banks participating in providing financing and facilitating procedures.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning indicated that the idea of the exhibition will witness an expansion during the next stage through an action plan that the Ministry is working on, with the aim of building on the gains achieved, continuing direct communication and interaction with citizens, and facilitating their access to immediate and appropriate housing options.
